One of our customers, Mark Lantz from Foam USA, recently sent us some pictures of a rather unusual jobsite. The small building looks like the entrance to some sort of underground lair, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The building, called a geodesic dome, is being used as a meditation hut. Geodesic domes are spherical structures made of triangular panels. They are well known for their incredible stability and weight-bearing abilities.
Foam USA did a terrific job of spray foaming the inside of the dome. The customer stated that “The acoustics are great! the rounded hard surface has expanded the reverberation of sound to fill the space in a dramatic way.” We are glad to see this creative application of spray foam, and hope to see more like this in the future!
